After break, there is only ONE advisory class before the week of SLCʻs. Therefore, advisory needs to be focused on preparing during the remaining three sessions before spring break. 1. Preparing for Student led conferences (50% of Quarter 4 advisory grade) SLCS are the Week of April 3rd to 7th. a. Must plan the SLC meeting, using the planning form (handed out in class) DUE: Tuesday, March 14th. b. Must signup on Doodle form to be sent out. c. Must USE the new KCS Senior Portfolio Standard 2. Re-formating student portfolio modeling the New KCS standard, which will also be used for Senior Exit Interviews and reporting on Internships. Due: Thursday Grade checks are required weekly Due: Thursday by 11:30am Required to copy [email protected] Scoring: 5 points, 21st century skills for complete submissions. Less if something is missing. Required to include: 1. A greeting 2. School grades - powerschool screenshot 3. College grades - screen shots 4. What actions will you take to improve your grade(s) in classes below a 90% ----DONE ----------------------------- Tuesday January 31st - Final TOGA dress photo shoot for yearbook advisory photo. Advisory is focused during Semester 2 is focused on supporting academic preparation for College and Career Preparation. Rule #1 in class - Work on something academic to strengthen your college application process and/or career preparation, especially: * Do practice ACT tests and/or using * Do extra work to improve your grades Scoring: Points will be added or subtracted for lack of focus. |
