Virtual day assignment
On survey/interview field research
Due: Sunday, April 23rd, 5pm (I am giving you extra time to squeeze this in)
The following assignment covers work for both Tuesday and thursday, 4/18 & 4/20
Purpose: All classmates will participate in the Ohukai business survey/interview. In my humble opinion (haha), this a fabulous opportunity to experience doing field research. Field research is an invaluable tool for any businessperson or professional. (Side Note: There is something call “informational interviewing” which is a great way to scout for employment or other career opportunities.)
The purpose of this assignment is for each of you to delve more into what is field research? What are some of the different methods? What can be learned from it? Then, reflect on what you personally hope to learn from participating in this little field experiment.
Step 1: Read/scan these articles.
Step 2: Summarize in at least 300 to 500 words
Based on the articles above
Step 3: Review and comment on the Ohukai business survey/interview you will participate in
(Answer in 200 to 400 words)
